Generate a QR Code from Text or a Link
A QR code is a square image that a phone camera turns back into text, a link, a number or a contact card. This tool generates the code in your own browser rather than through an external service, so your content is never uploaded and the page keeps working offline once loaded. Type into the box and the code rebuilds on every change; the download button saves a larger, sharper PNG that is suitable for printing on a card, a label or a poster. The longer the text, the denser the modules become, so for long links it is worth shortening them first.
This tool runs entirely in your browser. No data is sent to any server.

Frequently asked questions
Does my QR code expire?
No. This code carries your content directly and does not depend on any server, so it keeps working as long as the text or link is valid.
What size should I use for printing?
The download is generated at ten times scale, enough for a business card. For a large poster, scale the image without smoothing, or use the QR studio tool to set an exact size.
Does it support non-Latin text?
Yes, full Unicode text is supported. Note that the code gets denser, so it needs a decent camera; for long content a short link is the better choice.
