Frequently asked questions

How is the age in days calculated?

Whole years and months are counted first, then the remaining days, respecting the real length of each month. That is why the month and day values drop to zero on a birthday.

Are leap years taken into account?

Yes. The calculation follows the real calendar, so 29 February counts in leap years and the total number of days is exact.

Can I use it for a future date?

This tool is designed for a past birth date. For the distance between two arbitrary dates, use the date difference tool.
