Generate Random Numbers in Any Range

This tool draws random numbers between the two bounds you set, inclusive of both ends, so a 1 to 10 range can return 1 and 10. You can ask for up to 1000 numbers, and the no-repeats option guarantees no value appears twice, what you need for a draw, picking a winner or sampling without replacement. Asking for more unique numbers than the range holds shows an error rather than a short list. If you swap the minimum and maximum, it quietly puts them in order. Note that this is built on Math.random and is not suitable for passwords, tokens or anything security-related; use the password generator or a crypto API for that.

This tool runs entirely in your browser. No data is sent to any server.

How to use it

  1. 1

Enter the minimum and maximum of the range; both ends are included.

  2. 2

Set how many numbers you need, and turn on no-repeats for a draw.

  3. 3

Press generate; every click gives a fresh list, so press again if you want another.

Frequently asked questions

Are the numbers truly random?

Random enough for games, draws and sampling, but not for security. Math.random is predictable; use crypto.getRandomValues for tokens or passwords.

What is the maximum count?

Up to 1000 per click. With no-repeats on, the count cannot exceed the size of the range, a 1 to 10 range gives at most 10 values.

Can I get decimals?

The output is whole numbers. For decimals, multiply the range by 10 or 100 and divide afterward.
